New Zealand 2006

This was a different kind of visit. Fleeing an abusive marriage, I stupidly brought my children to New Zealand in April of 2006 and stayed until November 15, 2006 when we were forced back to California after a Hague Convention Trail. I went through a court battle for custody of my children and lost. For nearly three years I had no contact with them, though we lived on the same California mountain and the court ordered visitation. Now, thanks to a Facebook reunion, Jessica (18) and Jonathan (15) are in my life again.

God can turn even the most horrible event into an amazing adventure.
